Filled Brown Mushrooms


  • 6 Giants Mushrooms
  • 10ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 5ml Soft Butter
  • 250g Frozen spinach
  • 200 ml Fresh cream/ Milk
  • 20 ml Flour/ Soya flour
  • To taste salt,pepper mustard
  • 125 ml Cheese grated
  • 125 ml diced ham / crispy fried bacon


  • Pre heat oven to 180.Whipe mushrooms clean remove stem ,put upside down on a baking sheet.
  • Divide butter between the mushrooms and season to taste.
  • Filling
  • Cook spinach according to direstions on packet without adding water.
  • Heat 150 ml milk. Remove from heat.
  • Mix everything except cheese, ham and spinach with the rest of the milk till smooth.
  • Add a little hot milk.
  • Mix Slowly add the rest of the hot milk stirr and cook till thick.
  • Add half of the cheese and all the spinach.
  • Divide between the mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle rest of the cheese,ham and bacon over.
  • Bake for 10 min on 180.
  • Grill till brown and serve.
